Summary
Volto Já! does not collect, remotely store, or share any personal data. Every preference the caregiver sets stays on the device itself. This website uses the Google Analytics service, optionally and only with your consent — see Cookies and Google Analytics on this site below.
The Volto Já! app
What the app does NOT do
- It has no server/backend of its own — nothing configured in the app is ever sent over the network anywhere.
- It uses no third-party SDK (analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or anything else).
- It shows no advertising.
- It neither requires nor offers account creation, login, or any form of user identification.
- It collects no name, email, photo, location, contacts, or any other data about the child or the caregiver.
- It does not let the child communicate with third parties inside the app — there is no chat, and no social-interaction surface of any kind.
What the app stores (on-device only)
Through the operating system's standard local storage (Android/iOS), the app stores only the preferences the caregiver sets:

None of these values ever leave the device — the app makes no network transmission.
A note on the PIN
The PIN is optional and set by the caregiver themselves. It exists as a simple gate so the child can't return to Parent Mode alone without that extra step — it is not, and should not be treated as, a strong security credential. It's stored locally using the same storage mechanism as the other preferences, with no additional encryption beyond what the device's operating system already provides.
Deleting your data
Since all data stays on the device, uninstalling the app removes every saved preference. There is no server where data would remain after uninstalling, because no data is ever sent to a server.
Children
Volto Já! is made to be configured and supervised by an adult caregiver. The app collects no personal information from the child, and every setting that affects the child's experience is defined exclusively by the caregiver. An optional PIN can be set to make it harder for the child to return to Parent Mode without that extra step — but if no PIN is set, that barrier doesn't exist.
Cookies and Google Analytics on this site
This section is about this website (the page you're reading now), not about the Volto Já! app, which continues to collect no data at all, as described above.
The first time you visit this site, a dialog in the footer asks whether you accept the use of Google Analytics. The Google Analytics script only loads if you click "Accept"; if you click "Reject", or simply don't interact with the dialog, no analytics script loads for that visit. Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so the question doesn't reappear on later visits.
When accepted, Google Analytics collects aggregated, anonymous usage data about the site — such as pages visited and traffic source — to help us understand whether the site is doing its job of informing caregivers about the app. It is not used inside the Volto Já! app on any screen, and it is not tied to any account or personal identification.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in the future (for example, if an optional cloud-sync feature is added to the app), the update date at the top of this document will be revised and the change will be communicated visibly to users before it takes effect.
